Jacob Misiorowski is a Phenom for the Brewers. He reminds me of Casimir Kwietniewski because of his Polish name.
I saw Cass as a 17-year-old recruit for the White Sox. It was 1943. Luke Appling was about to be drafted into the army. It was 17-year-old Cass to take over. I remember him being delighted at mixing with the older players.
Cass quickly became a star as a Rookie. He was moved to the Washington Senators in a big trade. Cass changed his name to Cass Michaels. In the trade, the White Sox got Nelson Fox who unexpectedly became an even better player than Cass Michaels.
Cass Michaels had outstanding years as a second baseman, but he was beaned as a player for the Detroit Tigers. His career was shortened and he died in 1982 at age 56.
Jacob Misiorowski, as he goes forward, looks to an outstanding career. I hope his fortune will be better than Cass.
